Vengeance is cute sayeth the Bean!



Hi! I'm Eileen "the Bean" Eggert. Welcome to my humble abode. Here you can learn a little bit about me and the stuff I like. If you have any questions or see anything that interests you, feel free to e-mail me.

Anyway, some people may already know me from my traditional Celtic folk band Browne Jenkyn. You should check out that web site. It's really cool. The members of the band are me, my husband Del and his brother Dave. We play pretty much just around New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania but we do travel quite a long way on occassion. Things I Like:

  • Music: In addition to the tin whistle and bodhran I play in Browne Jenkyn, I also play rope tension field snare (18th century fife and drum stuff) and bass guitar. Some bands I like are Ministry, Depeche Mode, White Zombie, The Cure, Tannahill Weavers and Enya. Musik ist macht!
  • Martial Arts: Especially Taekwondo and kickboxing. My husband Del says I couldn't be a martial arts action movie star because I would giggle the whole time I was beating up the bad guys (Thus "vengeance is cute".). My favorite stars are Jackie Chan and Ernie Reyes Jr. and Sr.
  • History: I'm a drummer for the 1st New Jersey volunteers (a loyalist Revolutionary War re-enactment group). If that sort of thing interests you, you might want to check out The Bean's 1st NJV Page. I'm also into the ancient history and traditions of nothwestern Europe.   • Video Games: One of my favorite toys is my Sony Playstation. My favorite games are Resident Evil 1 and 2, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, the Tomb Raiders, Spyro the Dragon, Diablo, the Tekkens and Nightmare Creatures.
  • Art: I like to draw all kinds of things (but usually elves) and paint all kinds of things with oils or acrylics (often landscapes of stone circles).

  • My 2 Cats: Skeeter and Sheba are brother and sister and totally demented. Fortunately for them, they are exceptionally cute and since they're the closest thing we have to children, we'd never get rid of them. For pictures of my little freaks click here.

  • Cartoons: I love Cartoon Planet, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, The Simpsons, Futurama, Beavis and Butthead, The Powerpuff Girls and South Park.
